Thong Nai Pan are twin bays surrounded by tropical forest and mountains located on the north east coast of Koh Phangan. This area is famous for its breathtaking sunrises and relaxed atmosphere. Both beaches are laced with white stretches of sand, coconuts trees and a wide choice of bars and restaurants.
Thong Nai Pan Noi (noi means "small" in Thai ) is of course our favorite of the two beaches. For decades, it was a popular destination for long term travelers looking for a secluded beach to spend a few months on. In recent years, numerous 4 and 5 star resorts have replaced the backpacker resorts and have created a wonderful little piece of paradise where lush nature and luxury pleasures meet.
Nonetheless, the little village behind has kept its bohemian charm. Thai restaurants, handmade jewelleries, reggae bars and massage parlours now share the streets of Thong Nai Pan Noi with boutiques, cafés and restaurants offering high quality products and services.
